Golf Card Game Score Sheet
Nine holes, lowest score wins — and minus numbers welcome. Log each player's grid total per hole and the sheet keeps the card, including the negative holes that most score keepers choke on. Works for Play Nine and for 4, 6 and 9-card Golf.
Golf card values
These are the six-card values most tables use. Check jokers with your group — some decks leave them out entirely, and eight and nine-card variants add extra bonuses for matched columns.

A pair of equal cards in the same column scores zero for that column, whatever the cards were worth on their own — which is why holding a pair of queens can be better than holding a single king.
How Golf card game scoring works
Every player starts a hole with a small grid of cards face down, peeks at a couple, and then spends the hole swapping drawn cards into it while guessing at what is still hidden. When one player turns their last card up, everybody else gets one more turn and the grid is revealed. High cards hurt, kings are free, twos and jokers actively help, and a matched column wipes itself out — so a hole can finish anywhere from minus ten to well over forty. Nine of those holes decide the game, and because a single bad hole can be cancelled by one lucky column, the totals stay close far longer than in most card games. That is exactly the situation where adding up a column of mixed positive and negative numbers by hand goes wrong.

Golf card game scoring: common questions
Each player has a grid of face-down cards and swaps them out over the hole, trying to end with the smallest total. Kings are worth nothing, twos are minus 2, jokers minus 5, aces 1, number cards their face value and jacks and queens 10. Any matched pair sitting in the same column cancels out to zero, which is where most of the strategy lives.
