Hand and Foot Score Sheet
Hand and Foot is Canasta's sprawling cousin: two piles of cards each, books instead of canastas, and four rounds with a rising opening meld. Score each round by side and this sheet reminds you of the meld minimum, keeps the totals, and names the winner after round four.

Hand and Foot has more house rules than almost any card game. These are the values most tables use; if yours differ, just total the round your way and enter the result.
| Card or bonus | Points |
|---|---|
| Joker | 50 |
| Two, Ace | 20 |
| 8 through King | 10 |
| 4 through 7, black 3 | 5 |
| Red three (left in hand) | −100 (or −500) |
| Clean (natural) book | 500 |
| Dirty (mixed) book | 300 |
| Going out | 100 |
Opening meld by round: 50 in round 1, 90 in round 2, 120 in round 3 and 150 in round 4.
How Hand and Foot scoring works
Each round ends when a player goes out, which usually requires a minimum number of clean and dirty books, a set agreed before play. Then every side totals up. Books earn their bonuses, 500 for a clean book with no wild cards and 300 for a dirty one. Every card on the table adds its value, and every card still stuck in a player's hand or foot subtracts its value, along with a penalty for any red threes. The side that went out gets an extra 100. The round total can easily be negative if a team never got into its foot. After four rounds, with the opening meld rising from 50 to 90 to 120 to 150, the highest total wins. The printable sheet breaks each round into those lines so the paper version adds up cleanly too.
