Shanghai Rummy Score Sheet
Seven contracts, seven rounds, and a sheet that tells you which one you are on. Log the cards each player was caught holding, and the running totals sort out who is actually winning. Contract Rummy and Liverpool Rummy play on the same ladder.
The seven contracts
A set is three or more cards of the same rank; a run is four or more in sequence in one suit. You cannot lay anything down until you can lay the whole contract at once, which is what makes the later rounds so punishing.

How Shanghai Rummy scoring works
Every round has a required combination, and until you hold the whole thing you sit there drawing and discarding with a hand that keeps growing. Once a player lays their contract down they can start unloading the rest onto anyone's melds, and the moment they run out the round stops dead. Everyone still holding cards counts them up as penalty points: low cards 5 each, high cards 10, aces 20, jokers a brutal 50. Because the last contract needs three full runs and no discard, one bad seventh round can undo six good ones — the running totals on this sheet make it obvious who can afford to gamble and who has to play safe.

Two sets of three; a set of three plus a run of four; two runs of four; three sets of three; two sets of three plus a run of four; a set of three plus two runs of four; and finally three runs of four with no discard. The first three rounds deal ten cards, the last four deal twelve. This sheet names the contract for the round you are scoring, so nobody has to remember what comes next.
