Security & Backups
The two things that ruin a website are getting hacked and losing it with no backup. We keep your site secure and backed up, so a bad day is a quick restore instead of a disaster.

What it is
Protected against the worst day, and always recoverable.
Security and backups are the safety net for your website: monitoring for threats, keeping it protected, and saving regular copies so it can always be restored.
In plain terms
Backups are insurance for your website. You hope you never need them, but the day something goes wrong, a recent backup is the difference between a five-minute restore and starting over from nothing.
Protected
Monitoring and hardening keep threats out.
Always recoverable
Regular backups mean you can never truly lose the site.
Peace of mind
A bad day becomes a quick restore, not a rebuild.
Who attacks a small contractor's website — and why
Nobody targets you personally, and that is exactly the problem: the attacks are automated. Bots scan millions of sites around the clock for known holes in outdated software, and they do not care whose site it is — a hacked contractor site is free real estate for spam pages, malware distribution, and phishing kits. Your first warning is usually Google slapping a 'this site may be hacked' label on your search result, or the browser blocking visitors outright with a red warning screen.
The damage outlasts the cleanup. Getting warning labels removed takes review cycles, customers who saw them do not come back to check, and rankings that took years to earn can drop in days. Prevention — updated software, monitoring, hardened settings — is unglamorous and dramatically cheaper than any part of that sequence.
Backups: the difference between a bad hour and a lost website
A backup is only as good as three questions: does it run automatically (manual backups stop happening within a month), is it stored away from the site itself (a copy on the same server dies with the server), and has restoring actually been tested (an untested backup is a hope, not a plan)? Our setup answers all three — regular automatic copies, kept off-site, restorable in minutes rather than days.
With that net in place, entire categories of disaster deflate. Update broke the layout? Roll back, fix calmly. Hack got through anyway? Clean restore, patch the hole, move on. Something deleted by accident? It is back before lunch. Every website eventually has a bad day; backups decide whether it is an anecdote or an extinction event.
Sound familiar?

See the difference
Before and after
A plugin update breaks your site and there is no backup. It is offline for days while you rebuild.
The same break is a two-minute restore from last night's backup. Customers never even notice.
What you get
What is included
Security monitoring and protection
SSL kept active and current
Regular backups of your whole site
Quick restore if anything ever goes wrong
Peace of mind that your site is recoverable
Why it matters
Why this is worth doing
A hacked or lost website can vanish overnight, taking your leads and reputation with it. Backups and security turn a potential catastrophe into a five-minute fix.
What it costs
Pricing, plainly
Security monitoring, SSL, and automatic backups are all included in Basic Care at $50/month — they are not upsells, because a site without them is not really being cared for. Restores, when needed, are part of the plan, not billed as emergencies.
