Google Review Link Generator

Step 1

Find your business

Two ways to get it:

  1. From your Google Business Profile. Search your business name on Google while signed in, click Ask for reviews (or Read reviews → Get more reviews), and copy the link it gives you.
  2. With Google's Place ID Finder. Open the Place ID Finder, type your business name, and copy the ID that starts with ChIJ.

How to actually get the reviews

A review link removes the friction. The habit around it is what fills your profile. These four steps are what we set up for the local contractors we work with.

01

Ask the same day

The job just wrapped, the customer is standing in a finished kitchen. That is the moment. A week later the feeling has faded and the request gets buried.

02

Send the link, not directions

"Search us on Google and find the reviews" loses most people by the second step. A direct link opens the review box, so the only thing left to do is tap the stars.

03

Follow up once

Plenty of happy customers mean to leave a review and forget. One polite reminder a few days later often doubles the reviews you get. Two reminders starts to feel like pestering.

04

Reply to every review

A short, personal thank-you under each review shows future customers there is a real person behind the business, and Google notes that you are active.

Why reviews matter so much for local businesses

When someone searches for a roofer, an electrician or a cleaning service near them, the first thing they usually see is the map with three businesses on it, each with a star rating and a review count. Google uses reviews as one of the signals for which three businesses make that list, and customers use them to decide which one to call. A business with forty recent reviews looks safe; one with six reviews from 2021 looks like a gamble, even if the work is identical. The good news is that most happy customers are willing to leave a review. They just need to be asked at the right moment, with a link that makes it take thirty seconds instead of five minutes.

FAQ

Google review links: common questions

It is a direct link to your business's review form on Google. When a customer taps it, Google opens with the star rating and review box already showing, so they do not have to search for your business, find the reviews section and look for the button. Removing those steps is the difference between a customer meaning to leave a review and actually leaving one.
