Zilch Score Sheet
Tap what the dice gave you and the turn adds itself up. The sheet knows whether you are on the board yet, blocks a bank the rules would not allow, counts your zilches so the third one costs what it should, and holds the final round open for everyone.
Zilch scoring, both ways
Zilch is a folk game, and the published tables genuinely contradict each other on the two biggest combinations. Rather than pretend there is one canon, the tracker carries both. Pick a column before the first roll and the buttons match it.
| Combination | Online Zilch | Classic tables |
|---|---|---|
| Each 1 | 100 | 100 |
| Each 5 | 50 | 50 |
| Three 1s | 1000 | 1000 |
| Three 2s | 200 | 200 |
| Three 3s | 300 | 300 |
| Three 4s | 400 | 400 |
| Three 5s | 500 | 500 |
| Three 6s | 600 | 600 |
| Straight, 1 to 6 | 1500 | 2000 |
| Three pairs | 1500 | 500 |
| Two triplets | not used | 1000 |
| Four of a kind + a pair | not used | 500 |
| Minimum to bank | 300 | none |
The rows in orange are where the two tables disagree. Everything above the straight is settled, which is why most arguments at the table are about exactly those four lines. Four of a kind doubles the triple, five doubles again, six once more, on either table.
How a turn of Zilch goes
You roll all six dice, set aside anything that scores, and then make the only decision the game offers: bank what you have, or pick up the dice that did not score and roll again with your whole turn on the table. Clear every die with scoring combinations and you get all six back, still holding the points, which is how a modest turn becomes a 2000-point one. Roll nothing scoring at any point and the turn is a zilch: everything accumulated that turn is gone.
What makes Zilch harsher than plain Farkle is the pair of rules bolted onto that loop. Before you are on the board you cannot stop below 1000, which forces newcomers into risks the leaders never have to take. And three zilches in a row costs 500, so a bad streak does not merely stall you, it actively drags you backwards. Both of those are worth tracking honestly rather than from memory, because the player on two zilches plays completely differently from the player on none, and on paper nobody remembers whose streak is where. Playing the gentler version instead? Our Farkle score tracker is the plainer sheet.
FAQ
Zilch scoring: common questions
Your first scoring turn has to reach 1000 points in one go. Until it does, nothing you roll counts, so a turn sitting at 600 has to be pushed further or thrown away. Once you are on the board that restriction lifts and ordinary turns start banking normally. This sheet refuses a bank it would not allow and tells you how far short you are.
