Prestigious Windows & Doors: A New Company, an Honest Site, and Doors Out Front
A premium, research-led site for a new window and door crew, built to win the searches the big names ignore instead of fighting them head-on.

About the business
Prestigious Windows & Doors is a licensed window and door contractor based in East Earl, Pennsylvania, replacing and repairing windows and doors across Lancaster County and out into Berks, Chester, Lebanon, Dauphin, and York. It is the same trade as our Vista Windows & Doors project, and the kind of work we cover on our windows and doors page.
The challenge
This was a brand-new company with a brand-new domain, walking into a Lancaster County market where the leaders have thousands of reviews and decades of history. Copying their playbook, chasing window replacement Lancaster PA from day one, would have meant a year of sitting on page five. And faking the history they did not have, a family-owned-since line or an invented review count, was off the table. The site had to look established, stay honest, and aim at searches a new company can actually win.
The story
We started with research, not design. We scored a pool of more than three thousand local keywords by how weak the current results actually are, rather than trusting generic difficulty numbers, and mapped the competition into the companies you cannot beat yet, the middle of the pack, and the ones that are vulnerable. Two gaps stood out. Competitors bury doors deep in their menus, and the national names skip small repair jobs entirely. So doors got a top-level section of their own, and repair got as much room as replacement.
That decision became the spine of the site: four service lines, window replacement, window repair, door replacement, and door repair, each with eight specific pages underneath, from fogged glass and sash balances to sticking doors and rotted jambs. Someone typing patio door replacement in Ephrata lands on a page about exactly that, the principle behind service pages that get calls. Two decision guides, Repair or Replace and a page for old homes, catch the homeowner who is not sure yet what they need.
The design went through an honest reset. The first direction looked too generic, so we rebuilt it around a calmer, premium look in black, white, and gold, swapped every stock photo for the crew's own job photos, and drew a custom mark that matches the roofline in their logo. The about page leads with a line we are proud of: they are new here, the standard is not. The license number sits on the page instead of a made-up anniversary.
Finally, the service area. Every one of the 43 town pages carries real local detail rather than a swapped-in town name, grouped under six county pages that say plainly how far each place is from the shop. It all rests on the fundamentals of local SEO for contractors, with a Google Business Profile and review plan to match. Curious what a build like this involves? It is on our pricing page.
What we built
- More than a hundred pages, statically rendered so they open instantly on a phone
- Doors and windows as equal top-level sections, each split into replacement and repair
- Thirty-two specific category pages, from fogged glass to sticking doors
- Repair or Replace and Old Homes decision guides for undecided homeowners
- Forty-three town pages and six county pages with real local detail, not templates
- A quote form that collects the town, the job, and the best time to call
- The crew's own job photos and a license number in place of stock images and invented history
- Twelve articles answering the questions that come before a quote
How we promoted it
A new company cannot outrank twenty-year incumbents on head terms in year one, so the plan picks the fights it can win first and grows from there.
- A scored pool of more than 3,000 local keywords, narrowed to a first wave of about 125 winnable searches
- Map-pack first, because the local pack proved softer than the organic results
- Door and repair searches targeted directly, where competitors are thinnest
- Structured data for the business, its license, its service area, and every FAQ
- A Google Business Profile, citation, and review plan aimed at the first 10 to 15 reviews
