Slon Electric: Farm, Commercial, and Industrial Power, Proven on the Job Site

A bold site for an electrician who said no to residential work, built on real job-site photos and project write-ups instead of promises.

About the business

Slon Electric is a family-run electrical contractor based in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, in Lebanon County. Anatoly runs the crew, quotes the jobs, and usually answers the phone, and the work stays in-house rather than going to subcontractors. They focus on agricultural, commercial, and industrial work: poultry and dairy barns, shops, standby generators, control panels, and machine wiring across Lebanon, Lancaster, Berks, and the counties around them. It joins Edmarz Electric and New Gen Electric on our electrical websites page.

The challenge

Most electrician websites chase the homeowner searching for an electrician near me. Slon made a deliberate call to leave residential work alone and go after farms, businesses, and industrial clients. Those searches are small in number but worth a lot, a single commercial lead can be worth more than a month of service calls, and those buyers do not hire on adjectives. A farm manager wiring a new poultry house wants proof the crew understands farm wiring codes, stray voltage, and three-phase power before they ever pick up the phone.

The story

So we built the site around proof. Thirty-one project write-ups walk through real jobs, from new poultry houses to generator installs, and around 160 of the crew's own job-site photos carry every page. There is no stock photography anywhere on the site, by rule. Next to the projects sit eleven service pages, from agricultural, commercial, and industrial work to standby generators, service upgrades, LED lighting, EV charging, control panels, and preventive maintenance, a structure we explain in service pages that get calls.

The look is deliberately bold: graphite and a single orange accent, outline lettering that draws itself in, offset photo plates and diagonal section cuts, all of it switching off for visitors who prefer reduced motion. It feels industrial without looking like a template, and it matches the logo, an elephant in a hard hat with an orange bolt. The blog goes technical on purpose, with articles on farm wiring code, stray voltage on dairy farms, variable-frequency drives, and generator sizing, because that is how a serious buyer checks whether an electrician knows the work.

The search plan came from real data rather than guesswork. Research showed the Google map pack shows up on almost every local electrical search, so the Google Business Profile matters more than any single page, and that distance was holding them back in Lancaster despite a strong review record. Instead of fighting for the city, we kept the town pages few and close to the shop, the ring around Myerstown, Lebanon, Palmyra, and Ephrata, and opened up emergency searches because the business answers around the clock. It is the practical side of how Google ranks contractors. Curious what a build like this costs? It is on our pricing page.

What we built

  • Eleven service pages across agricultural, commercial, and industrial work
  • Thirty-one project write-ups showing real jobs from start to finish
  • About 160 real job-site photos, and no stock photography at all
  • Eight county pages and thirteen town pages kept close to the shop
  • Twenty-five technical articles, from stray voltage to generator sizing
  • A bold, animated design that respects reduced-motion settings
  • A contact form, embedded map, and full Electrician structured data

How we promoted it

Commercial and farm electrical searches are rare but valuable, so the plan was built to win the few that matter rather than chase volume.

  • Keyword and map-pack research before a page was written
  • Google Business Profile treated as the main storefront, since the map pack shows up on almost every search
  • Town pages focused on the ring closest to Myerstown instead of a long list of far-off cities
  • Emergency searches opened up because the business answers around the clock
  • Technical content that builds trust with farm and facility buyers

The outcome

What the new site does for them

We do not invent numbers. Here is what the site is built to do, honestly.

Nearly a hundred pages live across services, projects, towns, and advice

A site that sells farm and commercial work with proof, not promises

Real job-site photos on every page instead of stock images

A focused local plan aimed at the high-value searches near the shop
